I’m a words-person with a background in numbers. I’ve worked as an accountant, playwright, community manager (both physical and web), data wrangler, and journgame designer alist.

At the moment, I’m probably working on something related to (choose any 2): art, history, politics and science. My NOW page is a frequently updated list of ongoing projects.

About Me

Thomas Manuel is a freelance journalist and award-winning playwright from Chennai, India. He works as a freelance journalist with by-lines at Lapham’s Quarterly, The Nib, The Wire, Nature Index, 3QuarksDaily, BLInk, Sunday Magazine, etc. As a playwright, he has three plays to his credit. He is currently working on a book about the opium trade in colonial India to be published by Harper Collins in 2021.
