I’m a words-person with a background in numbers. I’ve worked as an accountant, playwright, community manager (both physical and web), data wrangler, RPG writer and journalist.

At the moment, I’m probably working on something related to (choose any 2): art, history, politics and science. My NOW page is a frequently updated list of ongoing projects.

About Me

Thomas Manuel is a writer from Chennai, India. He works as a freelance journalist with by-lines at Lapham’s Quarterly, The Nib, The Wire, Nature Index, 3QuarksDaily, BLInk, Sunday Magazine, etc. As a playwright, he has three plays to his credit. His latest play, Hamlet and Angad, won the Hindu Playwright Award in 2016. A collection of his plays is forthcoming from Dhauli Books.
